URGENT: The NSW Government’s Wild Horse Management Plan includes aerial shooting, ground shooting, and sending brumbies to slaughterhouses. This is brutal, inhumane, and completely unacceptable.
Brumbies are part of our history. Brought here by colonisers, they were forced into hard labour—ridden, worked and used in war. Then discarded. Forgotten. Now condemned. They didn’t ask to be here and they don’t deserve to suffer for it.
These horses aren’t pests. They are sentient beings who feel pain, fear, and distress. Yet they’re being treated like disposable objects. We should be ashamed that this is being done in the name of "conservation."
Using labels like “feral” devalues their lives and justifies brutal treatment. We must reject this narrative.
Australia should be leading the way in non-lethal, humane wildlife management, not spilling blood under the guise of protection. There are solutions: fertility control, rehoming programs, and real planning.
We MUST act now. Demand that the NSW Environment Minister immediately stop the killings and invest in compassionate, science-backed solutions.

Let’s be clear: mass slaughter is not management. It’s cruelty.
